Rony Abovitz, Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer, Magic Leap
As CEO, Rony Abovitz is responsible for Magic Leap’s daily operations, as well as leading the company’s product development and technology strategy. Prior to starting Magic Leap, he was the co-founder and head of development and technology for MAKO Surgical, the world leader in human-interactive robotics for orthopedic surgery. Rony was named a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum for his work on computer-assisted technologies for minimally invasive surgery. He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering and a M.S. in biomedical engineering from the University of Miami.
Graeme Devine, Chief Creative Officer, SVP Games, Apps, & CR Experiences, Magic Leap
Graeme Devine is a veteran game developer with more than 30 years of experience across multiple platforms, technologies and major titles. Starting at age 16 working at Atari, Graeme has helped bring numerous games to life, including Pole Position, The 7th Guest, The 11th Hour, Quake III Arena, Doom 3, and most recently Halo Wars. At Apple, Graeme held a key position in iPhone Game Technologies making sure that gaming on iOS devices was as good as it could be.
Neal Stephenson, Chief Futurist, Magic Leap
As the trailblazer behind the concept of the “Metaverse” from his 1992 sci-fi classic Snow Crash, Neal has authored historical epic novels Cryptonomicon and The Baroque Cycle; science fiction novels The Diamond Age and Anathem; and contemporary thrillers Zodiac and REAMDE. Neal’s work explores areas such as mathematics, cryptography, philosophy, currency, and the history of science. His next novel, a science fiction epic entitled Seveneves, will be published by HarperCollins in May 2015.
