Alex Hegyi, Member of Research Staff, PARC
Alex Hegyi is an inventor and researcher in the realm of photonics and photonic systems. He is currently on the research staff at PARC, a Xerox company (formerly Xerox PARC), where he leads the development of multiple photonic technologies, including his own hyperspectral imager. Dr. Hegyi graduated from Stanford in 2008 with a BS in physics, with honors and distinction. He received his PhD in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley in 2013, advised by Professor Eli Yablonovitch, and supported by a Fannie and John Hertz Foundation Fellowship. He is also a recipient of the Hertz Foundation Thesis Prize for his thesis work on nanodiamond imaging.
