Jia Zhu, Professor, Nanjing University
Dr. Jia Zhu is a professor at Nanjing University’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. His research group is dedicated to tailoring nanomaterials for solar energy conversion, including photovoltaics and solar desalination. Dr. Zhu obtained his bachelor’s degree in physics from Nanjing University and his MS and PhD in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Division of Inorganic Chemistry Young Investigator Award from the American Chemical Society (2011) and the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad (2009).
