Martin Hitch is chief business officer of Bossa Nova Robotics, the leading developer of service robots for the global retail industry. He is responsible for Bossa Nova's global business partnerships, having previously led the company as CEO for more than eight years. As CEO, he established Bossa Nova as a technology innovator, developing the first cloud-connected robot for kids and securing global distribution partnerships. In 2012, Martin oversaw Bossa Nova's pivot from consumer products to service robots, establishing a new category of automation for the global retail industry. Martin first became fascinated by robotics at Ugobe. As VP of sales and business development, he led the worldwide launch of Pleo, a groundbreaking personal robot. Martin spent 10 years in executive roles at Mattel (UK), Hasbro, and MGA Entertainment, and won Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year award (Western PA, VA) in 2011.
